St Francis & the Crucified Lord Painting
St. Francis of Assisi had great devotion to the Crucified Lord. The image, painted this evening by the talented Devin Montagne, is of “Francis of Assisi Contemplating Christ Crucified” originally painted by Italian master Marco Ricci (1676-1729). Ricci’s works are in major museums throughout Europe, as well as Washington, Boston, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. The generosity of friends of the Capuchins often transcends time and expectation. Thanks to the generosity of one such benefactor, this original painting adorns the foyer of the Capuchin Province of Mid-America’s Administrative Building.

Your first dining destination is San Damiano Friary, our formation house, where you’ll enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Then you’ll be whisked away to the St. Anthony’s Friary, our postulancy house, for soup and salad. The party returns to St. Francis Friary, the Provincial friary, for a home-cooked dinner. Just a few blocks away, at Our Lady of Light Monastery, home of our cloistered Capuchin Poor Clares, a delightful dessert will be served.
