Blaine Burkey, OFM Cap, is in the final stages of completing a comprehensive biography on the life and legacy of Julia Greeley, a former slave and Colorado resident, who many hope will be elevated to sainthood. Join Fr. Blaine for a historic tour and rare look into the life of Julia Greeley. Receive a personal copy of the biography of this extraordinary woman before the book is published. Transportation will be provided. This special tour will take place on February 12, 2012 from 1-4pm. Hurry space is limited to a maximum of 50 guests. $50/per person. Fr. Mike studies film and other popular media and extracts the true meaning while discerning real life Gospel application. Join us for a unique movie viewing experience where we’ll watch one of the greatest recent films of our time, Lord of the Rings – The Return of the King. Fr. Mike will provide intriguing insight and expert commentary using Gospel passages that will allow you to discover a whole new level of meaning and perspective to this classic film in the comforts of this cozy theater. Bring the whole family for this Movie with Meaning that will take place on Sunday, January 22nd from 2-6pm at the DU Lindsay Auditorium. Drinks and snacks are included. Cost: $25/per person.
