Thanks to our treasured friends and supporters the 2011 Brown Robe was an incredible success! We hope you'll join us next October 2012, for the 19th Annual Brown Robe Benefit where we will celebrate the work of the friars in the jungles of New Guinea and abroad.

Mission of the Brown Robe Benefit

The annual Brown Robe Benefit is orchestrated by a group of committed volunteers, religious and non-religious staff to raise funds to support the extraordinary lives and ministries of the friars of the Capuchin Province of Mid-America.  The Leadership Team is bound by faith and shares a deep-rooted gratitude and heartfelt respect for the men in brown who walk humbly in the footsteps of St. Francis of Assisi.  Capuchin friars surrender their lives so that they may serve our families, our friends, and particularly the very least of our brothers—-during moments of great joy and in the darkest hours.

The Capuchins’ message is one of humility, love, and compassion for humanity.  Members of the Leadership Team commit themselves to this event so that the work of the friars and their fruitful ministries may continue to flourish for generations to come.
